About Warriors Of China
On May 18 of a certain year in the future, a nuclear power plant in a certain country will be sabotaged by terrorists, causing a serious nuclear leak, and millions of people around the world will face death threats. Zhang Yu, a Chinese anti-nuclear pollution expert, developed the wartime emergency drug WF003 at this time, and prepared to take the drug to the incident site. However, Zhang Yu was suddenly hijacked by a group of thugs and became a hostage used by the bandit leader "Wolf" in exchange for his arrested accomplices. In order to maintain world peace and fulfill its internationalist obligations, China dispatched a quick response commando led by "Black Lion" and "Snake" to rescue Zhang Yu.
Directed by Wang Xuexin, Warriors Of China leans on a strong ensemble — Xing Minshan, Li Yunjuan, Zheng Rong — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1990.
