About Kurutta seiyoku-sha: Shufu o osou!
A man was sentenced to prison for rape. After he was released on parole he had a difficult time finding work. He tried to resist the sexual urges that put him away but his inner beast keeps resurfacing with brutal results. Then one day on his way to another interview he meets a married woman.
Directed by Seiji Izumi, Kurutta seiyoku-sha: Shufu o osou! leans on a strong ensemble — Tamaki Katsura, Raira Yonashiro, Junko Inei — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1979.
