Just when you thought they'd covered every fetish imaginable, a series like 'Specs Appeal' comes along and lets you know just how wrong you were. This series focuses on sexy young women who wear glasses, bringing audiences scene after scene of vibrant, intelligent sex kittens whose specs never stand in the way of sex. The set-ups are all top-notch, and the luscious young starlets are even better. Gauge turns in one of her best-ever scenes here, playing an ad exec whose finds herself in the clinch with Mark Davis in a steamy session. Gauge's petite little frame gets plenty of play as Mark delves deeply into their brainstorming boff. Violet Blue turns in some good work as well, playing a slightly nerdish nebish who eventually convinces the boy of her dreams to leave his cheerleader girlfriend and give her a whirl. Tiffany Mason looks great as a lawyer, working over her client Jack Hammer in a blistering romp.
Directed by Andre Madness, Specs Appeal leans on a strong ensemble — Sharon Wild, Tiffany Mason, Cherie — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2001.
