Hattan, a truck driver often delivers goods from the Seremban to Kuala Pilah. Every time he went there, he would ceaselessly stop at one place to watch his ex-lover, Ira. Looking back on the past 20 years ago, Ira married her brother, Zaidi unwillingly. Their marriage failed, and they were blessed with a child named Amir. Hattan was disappointed to take himself to Kuala Lumpur to become a rock singer but failed. The conflict started when he saved Ira and Amir from Zaidi who often interfered in their lives.
Directed by Jamal Khan, Dari Kekasih Kepada Kekasih leans on a strong ensemble — Hattan, Sharifah Shahirah, Aman Graseka — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2018.
