Inertia

When five prisoners are locked in a room, and are unable to communicate as none of them speak the same language, the situation is intensified when the haunting stone altar in the centre of the room demands a sacrifice. However, once one is selected and disposed of, this occupant is replaced, and in time a new choice of sacrifice must be made. In a dog-eat-dog environment, where might equals right and disunity abounds, can any of the room's occupants find a way to salvation?

Directed by Adam William Cahill, Wayne Mulligan, Inertia leans on a strong ensemble — Tadhg Devery, Marybeth Herron, Prince Gamede — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about science fiction titles of 2017.
