
Mr. Mukherjee, along with his family, is caught in a storm. His son Chandranath AKA Lattoo is the only survivor. While growing up, he faces many hardships and meets a lonely cabbie, Bhola, who decides to unite him with his family.
Directed by Ajit Gangopadhyay, Aloy Phera leans on a strong ensemble — Dipankar Dey, Mahua Roy Chowdhury, Rabi Ghosh — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1985.
