In a driving school, three women of different ages meet for the so-called idiot test. There is a close friendship between the women. Annette, Katja and Isabel unite dislike for the macho driving instructor Marius, but also enthusiasm for Erik, who also has to undergo retraining. The three ladies have to recognize the problems in their lives and get a grip on them.
Directed by Thomas Nennstiel, Idiotentest leans on a strong ensemble — Mariele Millowitsch, Susanna Simon, Henriette Richter-Röhl — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2012.
