About Contratiempo
Antonio "Dexter" used to be the drummer for a band named "Vulvox". He has been retired from the music scene for years and focusing on his job and his daughter, but there's a sudden change in his plans when the old band members decide to get back together and bring "Vulvox" back again. While he is excited to get back on the game and do what he loves to do, his conflicts and problems from his past come back to haunt him.
Directed by José Paredes, Contratiempo leans on a strong ensemble — Rodrigo Zapien, Paco Mufote, Adolfo Madera — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2022.
