Bandits kill Mr. Duvall when they try to steal the titles of possesion of the mine in that county. All the blame fall on Clark Harrison, but he is innocent. Later, after paying a penalty he did not commit and supposedly rehabilitated, he is appointed sheriff.
Directed by José Luis Madrid, Ruthless Colt of the Gringo leans on a strong ensemble — Germana Monteverdi, Luigi Giuliani, Marta Padovan — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about western titles of 1966.
