About Unification Of Japan 11
The Kyowakai came under attack by the Yukoku Giyuto, under the Takamatsu Yoshihito-kai. However, under orders from Yamazaki-gumi Wakagashira Himuro (Yasukaze Motomiya), Tamura (Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi) launched a fierce counterattack and annihilated the Giyuto. For this achievement, Himuro was promoted to a direct member under Kyowakai leader Kudo (Hakuryu). Around the same time, following the mysterious death of Takamatsu Yoshihito-kai leader, a power vacuum emerged over Takamatsu’s interests, and a new conflict erupted, spreading across all of Shikoku.
Directed by Yoshihisa Yamamoto, Unification Of Japan 11 leans on a strong ensemble — Yasukaze Motomiya, Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi, Hitoshi Ozawa — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about action titles of 2015.
