The Garden of Lost Dreams

In a beautiful garden, different characters move and tell their stories. They are adults but have the motions of children. Three of them: Michelle, Vincenzo and Francesca begin to talk as they walk through this magical place, they tell us their dreams. Moving from one place, to reach another where they will all gather together in a big circle we discover that these adults, so candid and clean, are nothing but unborn children who have taken on the human form of their dreams, of what they would be if they came into the world: a veterinarian, a manager, and an actress.

Directed by Alessandra Carlesi, The Garden of Lost Dreams leans on a strong ensemble — Sissi Martina Palladini Farruggia, Patrizia Pellegrino, Ciro Buono — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2022.
