About The Cuck, the Slag and the Stealer
Ai Kozaki is a rookie manga artist who has finally received a job offer which makes her debut. However, the editor has told her that her work will be published in a book titled “A True Story of Eroticism. In order to draw a true-life erotic manga, Ai interviews Tamotsu, a man introduced to her by the editor. In order to add depth to the story, she also went to talk to his wife, Kaori, but although the scenes and episodes overlap, the details differ, and the feelings of the two differ. Ai wonders which is the true story…
Directed by Kohei Taniguchi, The Cuck, the Slag and the Stealer leans on a strong ensemble — Natsuki Yokoyama, Aina Nagase, Sakura Kirishima — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2019.
