Private Investigator Jacobey London accepts two forms of payment for his services: cash or sex. His unconventional ways attract Benjamin Riley, whose friend suffered a brutal beating at the hands of an underground crew of -peddlers. Jacobey agrees to take the case when he realizes the victim is a former lover, but he has no idea what he's up against. Jason Valencia, crew boss, is determined to push his new product (known simply as 'Pops') and he's not about to let some nosy investigator ruin his plans. Jacobey will face betrayal and a few bullets shot his way before he finally discovers the truth behind the Lollipop Underground.
Directed by Andy Kay, Lollipop Underground leans on a strong ensemble — Jason Valencia, Jacobey London, Benjamin Riley — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2014.
