About Nureta aijô: Fushidara ni atatamete
Itsuka is a young girl who dropped out of high school due to bad behavior and is now working as a prostitute. After breaking up with her boyfriend, she loses her purpose in life and becomes desperate. Then she meets a married couple who are former teachers, and she is forced to face her studies head on. And she is forced to face not only schoolwork but also life lessons.
Directed by Hidekazu Takahara, Nureta aijô: Fushidara ni atatamete leans on a strong ensemble — Yuna Ogura, Toko Namiki, Kana Suzuna — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2019.
