In the spring of 1945, the last war clashes took place on the Czech-Moravian border. However, amidst the heavy gunfire, colourful boyhood adventures also take place. The main characters, however, are oblivious to the dangers lurking around them and bravely enter situations in which even adults would hesitate.
Directed by Václav Gajer, Dva kluci v palbě leans on a strong ensemble — Jakub Štěpán, David Strupek, Jaroslava Obermaierová — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about family titles of 1985.
