About Nest of Love
In 1884 a man and a woman indulge in passionate lovemaking, not noticing anything around. In the culmination of their coitus, a man enters and takes the life of the young couple. A hundred years later Mrs. Martin, with her daughter and son come to the ancient castle to receive an inheritance. Upon arrival, they meet a family in the castle who tells them of the fate of the young lovers and the ghosts which still may haunt the castle.
Directed by Franco Lo Cascio, Nest of Love leans on a strong ensemble — Marina Hedman, Marja Armi, Sabrina Mastrolorenzi — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1984.
