About Que lo pague la noche
Esteche celebrates his wedding in a square in Villa Lugano, a neighborhood of monoblocks in the city of Buenos Aires. Unexpectedly, at the moment of the toast, he faints on top of the cake. His girlfriend and two friends load him into a car and take him to the hospital. Esteche dies slowly and glimpses the possible reasons for his death.
Directed by Néstor Mazzini, Que lo pague la noche leans on a strong ensemble — Roberto Lavezzari, Eduardo Ibáñez, Felipe Pino — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about thriller titles of 2012.
