Sandwich Cat

Amid David’s disbelief and stupefaction, 'Sandwich Cat' explains himself: he’s an alien who has swapped minds with his cat. He will spend a day with David and, depending on what he observes and hears, he will decide whether or not to destroy the human species. David, unsurprisingly, goes nuts.

Directed by David Fidalgo, Sandwich Cat leans on a strong ensemble — Lidia Veiga, Lidia Veiga, Lidia Veiga — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about animation titles of 2023.
