About That is Not My Baby
Darmanto and his wife, Marini, are in Malaysia as he is invited as a guest lecturer. Marini is pregnant and gives birth in Malaysia. But at the hospital, her baby is accidentally switched with the baby that belongs to a Malaysian couple, Lukman and Samina. They find out about this when the baby has to be operated for to a kidney defect. But Lukman and Samina do not want to switch the babies back. With help from many sides, the problem is finally solved.
Directed by Hasmanan, That is Not My Baby leans on a strong ensemble — Marissa Haque, Noreen Noor, Rano Karno — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1988.
