Den beslöjade damen

Fredrik is a male feminist who has a big fight with his wife one morning. When a widow shows up in their home and starts telling his wife how great it is to be a widow he flees the apartment but finds himself constantly followed by a gang of women.

Directed by Bernt Callenbo, Den beslöjade damen leans on a strong ensemble — Birgitta Andersson, Margaretha Krook, Ernst-Hugo Järegård — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1977.
