About Father Actor Z
52-year-old Mitsuo Mameda, who was living in the depths of his life after failing to manage a snack bar and being in debt and having his wife and children run away from him, decided to step into the world of an AV actor by chance. Mameda, who was given the job of "juice actor", which is located at the lowest level among AV actors, met veteran soup actors Hachiya and Omae there and started living together. Suddenly, Yuria, a popular AV actress, appears before them, and she says that she wants to live with them. Seiji Nakamitsu, a veteran actor who has appeared in more than 500 pink movies, will play the main character, Mameda.
Directed by Yutaka Ikejima, Father Actor Z leans on a strong ensemble — Seiji Nakamitsu, Koji Makimura, Taishi Takemoto — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2014.
