About Molok Al Shar
The film revolves around Shafiq (Farid Shawqi), the leader of a drug smuggling gang, who decides to stop dealing drugs, but intends to carry out his last and biggest operation so that he can devote himself to raising his son. However, his biggest competitor, Al-Hout (Mahmoud Al-Meligy), and his men are watching Shafiq and learn about the operation, so they set up an ambush for him and inform the police to trap him. However, Shafiq and his men are able to deceive the police and escape from the predicament, and they escape with the goods from them.
Directed by Hossam El Dine Mostafa, Molok Al Shar leans on a strong ensemble — Farid Shawqy, Mahmoud El Meligy, Tawfiq Al-Deqen — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about action titles of 1972.
