
Young Komori was a virgin. In order to offer her virginity to her first love, she kept her virginity for 25 years. His first love was a girl he met by chance when he was in the first grade of junior high school. But without being able to express her feelings, she moved. Komori travels to Tokyo to find the girl and asks a detective. The detective, who reluctantly accepts Komori's request, discovers that Aiko, a familiar soap lady, is Komori's first love as he investigates.
Directed by Wataru Oku, Welcome, Virgin! leans on a strong ensemble — Sasa Handa, Ryôji Ishii, Wakato Kanematsu — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2010.
