About Muriel
Muriel is an elderly woman who lives in the solitude of her apartment. She spends most of her time focused on a crack that comes off her wall. One day, she receives a call from a former classmate, Nuria, who invites her to an "ashes ceremony", an unusual funeral. Until that moment of her life, Muriel has remained in a state of emotional anesthesia. But the image of the ashes floating in the air causes an internal tremor in her. Muriel decides to dig deeper, and agrees meeting with Nuria.
Directed by Delfina Imeroni, Muriel leans on a strong ensemble — Elvira Onetto, Susana Biscayart — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
