Mayday

Michel, subject to violent hallucinatory fantasies, must confront the imminence of death during an extradition flight to the United States. He will experience his hallucinations, the judgment of the other passengers, the firmness of the American judicial system, and the stress of an imminent crash all at once. It's all too much for this weak, aging, and disturbed man.

Directed by Sébastien Vaniček, Mayday leans on a strong ensemble — Remi Paquot, Adrien Bour, Lina Baria — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about horror titles of 2015.
