About Paranoiac
Miki Takamura is a romance novelist, but she has recently been suffering from depression and has been unable to write novels. One day, her editor, Hayakawa, suggests that she should try writing something other than romance novels for a change. Miki has been wanting to write about a different subject for some time, and she decides to visit an abandoned building to research it.
Directed by Hiroki Iwasawa, Paranoiac leans on a strong ensemble — Kota Fudauchi, Kiss Konishi, Miki Nagai — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about horror titles of 2015.
