Cristo

Cristo is an old age pensioner who leads a peaceful, lonely life and whose social circle is limited to the friends and neighbours in his vicinity. However, the confession of his feelings, hidden for years, for his friend and neighbour, David, unleashes a change in their relationship and in their lives.

Directed by Alejandro González de la Osa, Cristo leans on a strong ensemble — Gloria López, Manuel Salas, José Varela — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2023.
