Punto rojo

A second-class saxophonist's failures makes him fall into the nocturnal underworld, and eventually in jail. There he meets a manipulative and perverse mobster who senses the man's successful wife could be his key to launch a big criminal hit.

Directed by Alberto Daiber, Punto rojo leans on a strong ensemble — Fernando Kliche, Renzo Briceño, Griselle Gómez — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about crime titles of 1996.
