Mother's Dance

Since the death of her mother, Lisa has been the mother of her three brothers. At night, the only time she has to herself, she writes. When she wins a student scholarship in Jerusalem, she has to face the difficult dilemma: to leave or to remain at home taking care of the problematic family.

Directed by Zelda Hoha, Mother's Dance leans on a strong ensemble — Reymonde Amsallem, Maya Gasner, David Hovaschvily — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2003.
