About Talk of the Town
Comedy about a woman who hosts a radio talk-show who turns thirty and worries about not having a husband. With the help of her gay brother, she places an personal advert in the local paper and meets a charming dentist. Unfortunately, she finds out he is married, and her brother also falls for him.
Directed by Rainer Kaufmann, Talk of the Town leans on a strong ensemble — Katja Riemann, August Zirner, Martina Gedeck — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1995.
