About Puente de coplas
Antonio and Rafael Lorca, two brothers with very different characters. Antonio returned to his farm after having made a career as a singer in Latin America. Meanwhile, all these years has been to Rafael parental care and its fields and farms. When he returned to Spain Antonio realizes that Rafael is preparing his wedding with Carmen, the woman with whom he had always been in love.
Directed by Santos Alcocer, Puente de coplas leans on a strong ensemble — Manuel Atalaya, Ángela Bravo, Aurora de Alba — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1965.
