About Atal Matal Tootoole
In an elementary school, the students and teachers are dealing with the interruptions caused by a wizard named Jahel Khan. He has created three dolls named Atal, Matal and Tootoole to persuade kids to not study, and is behind the disappearances of books and backpacks that have been happening in the school. To stop him, a group of students backed by the faculty of the school are trying to unfold the mystery of the missing books.
Directed by Mohammad Jafari, Atal Matal Tootoole leans on a strong ensemble — Afsaneh Bayegan, Gholam-Hossein Lotfi, Hossein Mohebahari — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1992.
