Nico

On the third anniversary of Nico's death, Florencia organizes a family reunion in the same forest where lightning struck the boy's head. Under the pretext of holding a ceremony to remember Nico, she invites her two daughters, with whom she has a complicated relationship, and her ex-husband, from whom she separated after the family tragedy. When Lita, the youngest daughter, discovers some esoteric elements in one of the boxes that Florencia has brought, she realizes that her mother has not told the truth about the ceremony and suspects, upon seeing a strange healer appear, that what her mother really intends is to carry out an invocation ritual to bring the child back to life. Florencia's macabre decision will cause the supernatural situation to spiral out of control and endanger her entire family.

Directed by Salomón Reyes, Nico leans on a strong ensemble — Fiorela Duranda, Melina Pérez Castilla, Rasjid César — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about horror titles of 2025.
