About See You Again
Nurwati's relationship with Lieutenant Sutrisno was supported by her father, but opposed by her mother because the lieutenant was not rich, and her mother preferred Tirtoroso, who always looked classy. Sutrisno, from Yogya in mid-1946 was assigned to Bali via Banyuwangi beach. The attempt to go to the Island of the Gods was successful, even though he was forced to receive treatment from the residents of the island of Nusa Penida. After returning to Yogya, Nurwati became Tirtoroso's mistress.
Directed by Basuki Effendi, See You Again leans on a strong ensemble — A. Sarosa, Mardiana, Sukarno M. Noor — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1955.
