Onryou - The Imprecation

Kana is a newcomer assigned to office worker Shinobu's department. Kana, who adores Shinobu, gradually begins to act out of character, and Shinobu begins to avoid Kana. Kana eventually disappears, and unexplainable events occur frequently in Shinobu's surroundings.

Directed by Yasunori Nishi, Onryou - The Imprecation leans on a strong ensemble — Hitoaki Matsuzawa, Yoshiho Matsuzawa, Ami Natsui — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about horror titles of 2005.
