It describes the process by which "I", who had rejected the ugly appearance of Deungsinbul, gradually approached it through spiritual exploration and identified with it.
Directed by Jang Hyeong-il, Deungsinbul leans on a strong ensemble — Im Hyuk, Min Wook, Han Hye-suk — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1981.
