
The fifth installment in the series of fantasy swordplay action movies starring Riki Takeuchi. Four divine beast swords have gathered under the legendary Muramasa, the Yellow Dragon. The unleashed Yellow Dragon is now resurrected before the eyes of the seal master, Kengo. Fuuga possesses Muramasa's "Utsusemi" within a human and attacks the Sword Masters. Meanwhile, Kengo obtains the Book of Sealing Commandments, which contains all the information about Muramasa, but it is stolen by Kiryu. Through the book of commandments, Fuuga learns of the existence of "Kutsuyomi," a being that possesses the power to regenerate life, and begins to pursue it...
Directed by Noboru Matsui, MURAMASA Chapter 5: Rakshasa leans on a strong ensemble — Riki Takeuchi, Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi, Yasukaze Motomiya — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
