Threads of Blue

After a traffic accident on a mountain road, En, who had nightmares about losing her parents and younger brother, has an ominous premonition. A family trip was coming up in a few days, and they were planning a summer resort in the mountains. She persuaded her father, Kosuke , to stop traveling, but Kosuke did not listen. Meanwhile, a resident of the same apartment tells her that the traffic accident she dreamed of has already happened.

Directed by Kenichi Sono, Threads of Blue leans on a strong ensemble — Ryo Sato, Hironobu Nomura, Mariko Tsutsui — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about horror titles of 2023.
