
Jacqueline and Francis are a young couple who meet a group of professionals for dinner and become entangled in a symbolic discussion and sadomasochistic dance concerning the feminization of the male. Everybody is shaken up when the host Elisabeth, a transgender person, argues that metrosexuality will soon become the mainstream way.
Directed by Richard Lipman, Metrosexual leans on a strong ensemble — Charlie Bennison, Pilli Cortese, Rachel Freeman — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2008.
