About Bewitching Great War Acme-kun
One day, Acme-kun, a boy with three balls (played by Reijiro Kato, then 33 years old), meets an old man who calls himself the Second Doctor. He receives a "pheromone flute" from the Second Doctor and summons the female demon Inferna, but... A pornographic parody of the TV series "Akuma-kun". Contains two episodes, "Bakeneko Yokai Myanmar" and "Dainokami Mama Lemon", with short corners in the style of Hyakumonogatari connecting the episodes.
Directed by Mizuko Tataru, Bewitching Great War Acme-kun leans on a strong ensemble — Reijirô Katô, Junko Saito, Noriko Akigawa — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1995.
