
An American village is visited by some unknown life form which leaves the women of the village pregnant. Nine months later, the babies are born, and they all look normal, but it doesn't take the "parents" long to realize that the kids are not human or humane.
Directed by John Carpenter, Village of the Damned leans on a strong ensemble — Christopher Reeve, Kirstie Alley, Linda Kozlowski — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about thriller titles of 1995.
