Brent convinces his roommate Chad to help with what promises to be the ultimate Halloween party prank: they dig up an actual corpse and use it to scare their guests. The party is a great success, but now they must figure out a way of getting rid of the body. The police have staked out the apartment building in search of a suspected pervert, so they can't just take their guest out the way he came in. As time goes by, Chad's life begins to fall apart. Directed by Phil Hwang, Completely Totally Utterly leans on a strong ensemble — Walter O'Neil, Zack Ward, James Kissane — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2001.
