About Honest Divorce. The Benefit Performance
Milana and Gena are doing well: a child, a home, realization in creativity… However, Milana does not believe in herself and connects her musical career with the fact that she is the wife of the people's favorite "Uncle Gena", who constantly tours the country. After performing at a festival in one of the provincial cities, Milana's father Albert Plekhov comes backstage. He is a director at a local theater, a rather eccentric, out-of-date, but very perky man of age. For the last 20 years, he has been trying to stage his musical The Scarlet Flower.
Directed by Evgeny Korchagin, Honest Divorce. The Benefit Performance leans on a strong ensemble — Aleksandr Robak, Agata Mutsenietse, Leonid Yakubovich — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
