About Ek Gaon Ki Kahani
The films tells how a greedy moneylenders son Gangaram, is Saved from following in his fathers footsteps by an understanding wife. The villagers and particularly the arch-enemy of the youth, come to know the change in heart of the moneylenders son only after setting his house on fire. Later they save Gangarams wife and children from the fury of floods.
Directed by Dulal Guha, Ek Gaon Ki Kahani leans on a strong ensemble — Manjula Vijayakumar, Rakesh Pandey, Jayshree Gadkar — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1975.
