The clock strikes ten

University student Mohamed works as a driver for the wealthy Abdul Majeed. Mohamed discovers that Noura, Abdel Majeed’s young wife, is cheating on him with Murad, and she asks him to keep the matter secret. Noura's brother Salah aspires to marry Nevin, Abdul Majeed's daughter, but she refuses. She loves Muhammad and agrees to marry him, and the father blesses their relationship. However, Noura succeeds in trapping Muhammad in her trap.

Directed by Henry Barakat, The clock strikes ten leans on a strong ensemble — Mahmoud Yassin, Mervat Amin, Nahed Sherif — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1974.
