Kamal, a businessman, travels to Beirut and meets an Egyptian girl. He proposes to her, asks for her hand, and marries her, but when he returns to Cairo, he returns alone and leaves his wife in Beirut. In Cairo, Kamal practices his life as he had previously, where he has a close relationship with the actress Zizi, and through the social networking page, Rasha learns Kamal’s story with Zizi.

Directed by Henry Barakat, A woman is a woman leans on a strong ensemble — Hussein Fahmy, Sohier Ramzy, Mohamed Awad — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1978.
