About Tangraph
Berkeh, a political prisoner, is the son of Siyamak, one of the women killed by a serial killer. Mehrdad, a young homosexual with an Afghan father and an Iranian mother, was born in Iran but lacks documentation due to his father's identity. They decide to leave Iran. In the form of a filmmaking group with Sali and Siyamak, they head towards the border. The police become suspicious of Salim and Siyamak, targeting Salim with a gunshot.
Directed by Hiva Naserian, Tangraph leans on a strong ensemble — Mehrdad Rajabi Khamesi, Mahdi Beheshti Nasab, Hiva Naserian — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2021.
