Most people have left Earth, for unknown reasons and to unknown destinations. The story follows three men who live together and support each other. They use an old military warehouse full of supplies and food to survive. They try to maintain their human values. There are other groups of people on Earth who are barely surviving and resorting to cannibalism. After a conflict with one such group, the trio must leave their warehouse. They end up in a former prison, which seems like paradise to them. The prison is inhabited by a young girl. After further difficulties, everything is coming to a final move.
Directed by Kryštof Hanzlík, Poslední přesun leans on a strong ensemble — Zbyněk Fric, Jiří Bartoška, Ladislav Mrkvička — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about science fiction titles of 1995.
