About Man in Woman's Eyes
Awafi is a young girl who lives with her parents, Abdul Mutaal, who works in the mill. Love connects her with the medical student Hassanein Ibn Shaykhun, the wealthy owner of the mill and who aspires to be the mayor of the town. Shaykhun opposes his son’s marriage to Awafi because of the social difference, and he deceives her and leaves her, and searches for him if she becomes pregnant.
Directed by Gamal Ammar, Man in Woman's Eyes leans on a strong ensemble — Elham Shahein, Salah Zulfikar, Hatem Zulfiqar — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1987.
