No More Gravity At Night

In an abandoned cement yard in the southern suburbs, a group of workers living in a utopian memory plot a “demolition” to make a quick buck. Chen Qing, a young boy among the workers, hopes to use his actions and even sacrifice himself in order to take his uncle away from this place, in order to wake up his young heroic uncle. At night, his relationship with his uncle had become subtly close, rigid, and broken, and his quicksand memory was like this dusty cement factory, eventually buried in dust.

Directed by Jaron Wong, No More Gravity At Night leans on a strong ensemble — Wen Yiming, Zhenfei Chen, Shi Bai — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2024.
